Job summary

Eaton's IS AER FMC Aerospace division in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Lead Electrical Sustaining Engineer to lead momentum product improvements and reliability initiatives for motor controllers, DC motors, and related components.

The role focuses on hardware troubleshooting, obsolescence management, and collaboration with operations, procurement, and the NPD team. On-site, US-based engineers are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of electrical engineering experience.
• ITAR-related eligibility and no sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Drive momentum product improvements through design, analysis and testing of electromechanical actuators and system hardware.
• Sustain product viability by evaluating and redesigning hardware with obsolete components.
• Develop test plans,Specifications, and test procedures for requalification activities and coordinate testing.
• Support NPD launches and Supplier Product Transfer initiatives.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service and HPWT to reduce costs and improve reliability.
