Eaton’s IS AER FMC Aerospace division Mfg. facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a Lead Electrical Sustaining Engineer. This on-site role focuses on reliability and quality improvements for momentum products including motor controllers, DC motors and actuators.

You will lead engineering analyses, redesigns, and testing to sustain product viability. The Lead Sustaining Electrical Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager, Electronic Products, and collaborate with operations,

Competenze

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering role.
U.S. person under ITAR compliance; no sponsorship needed.

Mansioni

Lead momentum product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electro-mechanical actuators and system hardware.
Sustain product viability by evaluating and redesigning hardware with obsolete components.
Develop test plans, specifications and procedures for requalification activities and coordinate testing.
Support Launch for New Product Development (NPD) and Supplier Product Transfer initiatives.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service and HPWT to drive cost reductions and improve reliability and quality.
Provide technical support to operations, procurement and customers as required.
Read and interpret product specifications and recommend enhancements based on data.
