Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior Sustaining Electrical Engineer for its Grand Rapids, MI facility. The role focuses on reliability and quality improvements of motor controllers, DC motors, boards, and actuators, with hands-on troubleshooting support for field and production issues.

Reports to the Sustaining Engineering Manager and drives momentum-product improvements, including documentation, testing, and support across operations, procurement, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum two years of electrical engineering experience.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Drive product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electromechanical actuators and system hardware.
• Sustain product viability by evaluating and redesigning hardware with obsolete components.
• Develop test plans and procedures; coordinate testing and evaluate results.
