Job summary

Eaton’s Grand Rapids, MI facility is seeking a Lead Electrical Sustaining Engineer to drive momentum product improvements and support manufacturing for aerospace momentum products such as motor controllers and actuators.

The role focuses on reliability and quality improvements across products, with collaboration across operations, procurement and development teams. On-site work is required, with a relocation bonus available for eligible candidates outside 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering role.
• This position requires U.S. person status under ITAR and no employment sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead momentum product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electro-mechanical actuators and system hardware.
• Sustain product viability by evaluating and redesigning hardware with obsolete components.
• Develop test plans and coordinate requalification testing; support supplier and internal teams.
