Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Lead Sustaining Electrical Engineer for its Grand Rapids, MI office. This on-site role focuses on momentum products like motor controllers, DC motors, and electrical boards, driving reliability and quality improvements.

You will lead analyses, develop test plans, coordinate requalification, and support NPD and supplier transfers. Requires 5+ years in electrical engineering and a BS in EE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering role.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status; no sponsorship offered.
• Relocation benefit not offered; residence within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI.
• Active‑Duty Military candidates are exempt from the geographic area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Lead momentum product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing.
• Sustain product viability by evaluating hardware with obsolete components.
• Develop test plans, specifications and procedures for requalification activities.
• Coordinate requalification testing and evaluate results.
• Support NPD launches and Supplier Product Transfer initiatives.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service and HPWT to reduce costs.
• Assist with customer inquiries and interpret product specifications.
