Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FMC Aerospace division in Grand Rapids, Michigan seeks a Lead Electrical Sustaining Engineer to improve momentum products such as motor controllers, DC motors and actuators. The role is based at the Grand Rapids, MI facility with on-site work and ITAR compliance requirements.

The candidate will lead technical reviews, design changes and testing, report to the Engineering Manager, Electronic Products, and collaborate with operations, procurement and customers to enhance reliability

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering.
This position requires U.S. ITAR compliance and no sponsorship.
Relocation benefit is not offered; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI.

Responsibilities

Lead momentum product improvements through analysis, redesign and testing of electro-mechanical actuators and system hardware.
Support manufacturing improvement projects focused on reliability and quality.
Develop test plans, specifications and procedures for requalification activities.
Coordinate requalification testing, evaluate results and develop test reports.
Provide technical support to operations, NPD, procurement and customers.
