Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days — American Heart Association (AHA).
• Education: Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology; Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology.
• Work Experience:

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timely accuracy.
• Set up sterile field and scrub in prior to patient entry.
• Maintain organized back table and mayo setup for case flow.
• Assist with intraoperative events and instruments, ensuring availability.
• Precept and mentor staff and students; adapt technique to surgeon preferences.
• Support first scrub, first assist, and second scrub roles as needed.
• Participate in case closing activities and turnover.
• Collaborate with surgical team to anticipate needs and maintain patient safety.
