Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer III to lead supplier quality initiatives at our Tucson facility on an on-site schedule. You will drive supplier qualification, audits, CAPA, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 and customer requirements.

The role requires deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, GD&T, APQP/PPAP, and advanced problem-solving methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 4+ years of supplier quality/engineering experience.
• Experience leading supplier audits and supplier corrective action programs.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 and related requirements.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, military and commercial specs, and GD&T.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish; U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, approval, surveillance, audits, and performance management for strategic suppliers.
• Serve as the primary supplier quality authority for assigned suppliers.
• Lead investigations of supplier escapes, NCRs, field failures, and MRB support.
• Mentor junior quality engineers and support cross-functional improvement initiatives.
