Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense, a RBC Bearings company, seeks a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality performance across Aerospace, Defense and Marine units at the Tucson facility.

This onsite role combines technical leadership with supplier development, audits, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives. You will mentor junior engineers, drive APQP/PPAP activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen supplier capability and product quality while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; four years in supplier quality or engineering.
• Proven experience leading supplier audits and corrective action programs.
• Advanced knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and related quality systems.
• Ability to read drawings, military and commercial specs, GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, approval, surveillance, audits, and performance management for strategic/high-risk suppliers.
• Serve as primary supplier quality authority for assigned Aerospace & Defense and Marine suppliers.
• Lead investigations of supplier escapes, major nonconformances, and field failures; support MRB.
• Facilitate advanced root cause analysis and CAPA using 8D, 5 Why, FTA, DMAIC; verify effectiveness.
