Job summary

World View is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) in Tucson, AZ to lead technical qualification and quality oversight of our global supply chain. You will interface with Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

The role emphasizes APQP/PPAP execution, supplier audits, and continuous improvement, with a focus on defect reduction, process capability, and cross-functional collaboration within a defense-focused

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 10+ years in aerospace/defense supplier quality preferred.
• Deep knowledge of AS9100/AS9110/IATF-16949/AS9145 (APQP/PPAP).
• ASQ CSQP or CQE is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, and approvals.
• Apply APQP and PPAP per AS9145 for new suppliers and components.
• Perform supplier quality audits for compliance (AS9100, regs).
• Manage supplier change requests (SCR) and risk assessments.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and COPQ.
• Drive SPC, FMEA, and continuous improvement with suppliers.
• Coordinate corrective actions and 8D investigations cross-functionally.
