Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer III to lead supplier qualification, audits, and improvement programs at our Tucson, AZ facility. You will manage high-risk suppliers, mentor peers, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to strengthen supplier performance.

Travel up to 50% domestically, on-site work, and expertise in AS9100/PPAP are essential to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance across aerospace programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience independently leading supplier audits and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 and APQP/PPAP methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, surveillance, audits and performance management for strategic suppliers.
• Perform supplier risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct supplier audits to AS9100/ISO 9001 requirements and drive improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
