Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality initiatives onsite. You will manage supplier audits, CAPAs, and risk assessments while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.

This role emphasizes technical leadership, supplier development, and continuous improvement across Aerospace & Defense and Marine units, with substantial travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 4+ years of supplier quality/engineering experience.
• Experience leading supplier audits and corrective action programs.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems and GD&T reading.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification, approval, surveillance, and audits for strategic suppliers.
• Mentor junior quality engineers and support cross-functional CI initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop CAPAs using structured methodologies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams on supplier development.
