Job summary

Stantec is seeking Intermediate and Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to support Substation Physical Electrical Teams. You will lead substation structural design efforts, coordinate with Physical Electrical teams, and guide project engineering from 13kV to 500kV levels.

The role requires experience with AIS and GIS substations, design codes such as IEEE, and strong leadership in a proactive, client-focused environment. The position includes travel and collaboration across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Civil/Structural Eng; 8–10 yrs power delivery experience.
• Registered PE preferred; NCEES Record desired.
• Experience with AIS/GIS substations and 13kV–500kV.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for foundations, equipment supports, rigid bus and enclosures.
• Perform QA/QC of structural design packages.
• Coordinate with PMs and discipline leads to meet timelines.
• Review and approve drawings and calculations for substation packages.
• Coordinate resources across US and internationally.
• Attend client interactions and status meetings.
