Job summary

Stantec is seeking Intermediate and Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to support our Substation Physical Electrical Teams in Tampa. You will lead substation design efforts, coordinate with Physical Electrical teams, and guide project engineering from 13kV to 500kV levels.

Ideal candidates have experience with AIS and GIS substations, familiarity with IEEE standards, and strong inter-discipline collaboration across US and international offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 8–10 years in power delivery.
• Registered PE preferred, with NCEES Record desired.
• Experience with substation expansions and data collection during site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering efforts for design of foundations, equipment support, rigid bus and enclosures for power delivery projects.
• Perform QA/QC of structural engineering design packages.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to meet project timelines.
• Determine allocation of resources and track man hours.
• Review and approve design drawings and calculations for substation construction packages.
• Work with P&C team to produce complete station drawings.
• Attend client interactions and project status meetings.
• Coordinate resources across US and international offices.
