Job summary

Stantec is seeking Intermediate and Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to support our Substation Physical Electrical Teams. This role involves leading substation structural design efforts, coordinating with Physical Electrical teams, and guiding project engineering from 13kV to 500kV levels.

You’ll engage in planning, inter-discipline coordination, and cost estimating, with opportunities to work with offices across the US and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in power delivery.
• Registered PE preferred; NCEES record desired.
• Experience with substation design from 13kV to 500kV levels and AIS/GIS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate engineering efforts for design of foundations, equipment support, rigid bus and enclosures for power delivery projects.
• Perform QA/QC of structural design packages.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to meet timelines and deliverables.
• Allocate resources and track project man-hours.
• Review and approve design drawings and calculations for compliance and quality.
• Collaborate with P&C team to produce complete station drawings.
• Attend client meetings and project status reviews.
• Coordinate engineering resources across the US and internationally.
