Job summary

Stantec is seeking Intermediate and Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to support Substation Physical Electrical Teams in the United States. The role emphasizes leadership, client interaction, and high-quality engineering deliverables for power delivery projects.

Ideal candidates will have experience in foundations, equipment supports, bus systems, and coordination with project managers. Expect collaboration with teams across US and internationally, with travel as needed and a strong focus on

Qualifications

• Registered PE preferred with NCEES record desired.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 8–10 years in power delivery.
• Experience leading substations design and coordinating across offices.
• Ability to develop and maintain client relationships and deliverables.
• Strong organizational skills for multi-tasking in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design efforts for foundations, equipment support, rigid bus and enclosures.
• Perform QA/QC of structural engineering design packages.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to meet timelines.
• Allocate resources and track project man hours.
• Review and approve substation design drawings and calculations for codes and client expectations.
• Work with P&C team to produce complete station drawings.
• Attend client interactions and status meetings.
• Participate in project planning and proposal development.
• Coordinate engineering resources across US and international offices.
