Job summary

Stantec in the United States is seeking Intermediate and Senior Civil/Structural Engineers to support Substation Physical Electrical Teams. You will lead substation structural design and coordinate with Physical Electrical teams, working on AIS/GIS substations from 13kV to 500kV with various components and layouts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field with 8–10 years in power delivery.
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred; NCEES Record desired.
• Experience in substation design from 13kV to 500kV and related studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts for foundations, equipment support, rigid bus and enclosures.
• QA/QC of structural design packages and drawings.
• Coordinate with PMs and discipline leads to meet timelines.
• Allocate resources and track project man-hours.
• Review and approve substation construction drawings and calculations.
• Collaborate with P&C team to produce station drawings.
• Attend client interactions and status meetings.
• Contribute to project planning and proposals.
• Coordinate resources across US and internationally.
