Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead high voltage and EHV substation projects in the Power & Energy Management Team. The role will coordinate project scope, schedule, budget, and QA/QC while managing client relationships and regional delivery expectations.

Based in Houston, Austin, or Fort Worth with the option to work remotely from a mutually agreed location, travel to client sites is expected as needed. 12+ years in PM requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 12 years of post-education experience in project management within Power Delivery/Utility.
• 5+ years leading teams for high/extra-high voltage substation projects.
• Experience with contract, risk, schedule, and cost management processes.
• Proficient in CPM scheduling and PM tools like Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV and EHV substation projects, including budgets and KPIs.
• Develop stakeholder engagement strategies and report progress to clients.
• Lead pursuit activities, go/no-go decisions, and contract reviews.
• Oversee project risk, scope, and budget changes; drive QA/QC adherence.
• Coordinate resources and subcontracting; ensure regular client communications.
