Job summary

WSP is seeking a Power & Energy Project Manager for the Denver, CO area. The role may also work remotely from within the United States (Minneapolis, MN or Amarillo, TX as options) with travel to client/offices as needed.

You will lead large EHV Transmission/Substation projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budgets, risk, and quality. You will develop proposals, cost estimates, and resource plans, mentor staff, and ensure QA/QC while delivering with WSP standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical discipline or related experience in A/E/C, utility, EPC, or power delivery.
• 12+ years in a project management role within the power/ energy sector.
• Strong understanding of project delivery models (DBB, EPC, PDB).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with leadership and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead mid-level to senior project teams and ensure QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for large, complex projects including budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Lead development of proposals, estimates, scopes, schedules, and resource plans.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management.
• Participate in contract negotiations, presentations, and client meetings.
• Provide regular project reporting and mitigate scope, risk, and budget issues.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships to drive satisfaction and retention.
• Mentor staff and enforce standardized processes and safety requirements.
