Job summary

WSP is seeking a Substations Project Manager to lead HV/EHV substations across multiple US locations, including Fort Worth, TX. The role drives project budgets, schedules, risk management, QA/QC, safety, and client satisfaction through the full lifecycle.

You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and energization, while mentoring staff and ensuring adherence to corporate standards. This is a remote US-based position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive PM experience delivering HV/EHV substations or utility-scale power projects.
• Strong understanding of project delivery lifecycle in A/E/C industry and QA/QC standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-functional engineering, design, and construction teams on HV/EHV substations.
• Manage project budgets, labor hours, cost tracking, and material quantities.
• Develop WBS and cost-loaded schedules for project activities.
• Ensure QA/QC, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Support proposal development, risk registers, and margin analysis.
• Coordinate with contract negotiations, meetings, and client communications.
• Prepare project initiation docs (REF/RMP, PMP, QP, PSP, Communications Plan).
• Monitor earned value, cash flow, and budgeted margin across projects.
