Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Substations Project Manager to lead HV/EHV projects across multiple office locations in the United States. The role emphasizes technical supervision, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and QA/QC compliance within power delivery and substation environments.

The candidate will coordinate with civil/structural and electrical staff, support procurement, outreach, and client satisfaction while upholding safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline plus relevant experience in HV/EHV substation projects.
• 7–10 years in a project management role delivering HV/EHV substation or utility-scale power delivery projects.
• Solid understanding of project lifecycle and QA/QC in utility and EPC environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, risk, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-functional engineering, design, and construction teams delivering HV/EHV substations.
• Manage project budgets, labor hours, cost tracking, and materials quantities.
• Develop work breakdown structures and cost-loaded schedules for activities.
• Coordinate technical reviews and ensure QA/QC compliance with standards.
• Contribute to risk registers, margin targets, and contingency planning.
• Provide project reporting and updates to clients and management.
