Job summary

WSP is seeking a Substations Project Manager to oversee HV/EHV substation projects from Fort Worth, TX and other US locations. Lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets, schedules, risk, QA/QC, safety, and client satisfaction across project lifecycle.

The role requires a strong PM background, strategic planning, and effective communication with stakeholders. Travel may be required to support multi-site projects within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of post‑education experience in a project management role delivering HV/EHV substation or utility-scale power delivery projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of project lifecycle, QA/QC, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cross-functional engineering, design, and construction teams on HV/EHV substation projects.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, risk, QA/QC, safety, and client satisfaction.
• Develop work breakdown structures, cost-loaded schedules, and risk registers.
• Coordinate technical aspects of contract negotiation and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide regular project reporting and updates to clients and managers.
• Monitor earned value, cash flow, and budgeted margin across portfolios.
