Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer Consultant to manage project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls, and schedulers in the design, modification, and analysis of high voltage substations. The role includes leading scope development, coordinating with civil/structural teams, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will mentor staff, support business development, and ensure compliance with NEC/NESC/IEEE/ANSI standards.

Qualifications

• This position requires a Bachelor of Science Engineering degree.
• 10+ years of experience in design engineering and/or management of high voltage utility projects.
• Experience with EPC, Owners Engineer, Traditional or Joint Ventures is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; experience writing proposals.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and schedulers on HV substations.
• Coordinate design phases and manage scope, schedule and budget.
• Communicate with clients and support business development efforts.
• Mentor team members and manage multiple internal/external stakeholders.
