Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer Consultant to lead project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals in the design and modification of high voltage substations. You will oversee scope, schedules, budgets, and client communication to deliver high quality results.

The role requires 10+ years in HV utility projects, strong knowledge of NEC/NESC/NEMA/IEC/IEEE/ANSI, and a track record in EPC or Owners Engineer environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 10+ years in design engineering or management of high voltage utility projects.
• Experience with EPC/Owners Engineer or similar contracts.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and schedulers.
• Direct coordination of detailed design phases and cross-disciplinary work.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and client communication.
• Identify out-of-scope work and prepare scope changes for client approval.
• Mentor and develop team members.
