Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned Electrical Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary teams on high voltage substation design, modification, and analysis projects. You will direct the electrical team, ensure on-time, on-budget delivery, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and apply NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.

This hybrid role requires 10+ years in HV project design/management, EPC or joint-venture experience, and strong written and verbal communication for

Qualifications

• BS from ABET-accredited program.
• PE license.
• 10+ years in design engineering or management of HV utility projects.
• Experience with EPC/Owners Engineer/Joint Ventures.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI.
• Strong written and verbal communications; proposal writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage project team(s) of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals for HV substations.
• Direct the electrical team lead in coordinating detailed design phases across electrical engineering work.
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to financial targets.
• Coordinate systems design activities to meet specifications, codes and client requirements.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information clearly for client formats.
• Perform independent reviews of work, scopes, proposals, procurement specs and contract documents.
