Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer Consultant in a hybrid role to lead multi-disciplinary project teams on high voltage substations, from design to execution. You will coordinate with civil, structural, and transmission teams and ensure projects meet client requirements, codes, and budgets.

The position emphasizes client interaction, reporting, and business development support, with relocation assistance where applicable and a three-day in-office expectation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• 10+ years in design engineering or management of high voltage utility projects.
• Experience with EPC, Owners Engineer, or joint ventures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and schedulers on high voltage substations.
• Direct design phases and coordinate with civil, structural, and transmission teams.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality project delivery.
• Prepare reports and calculations and review work of others.
• Support business development and client liaison activities.
