Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Substation Engineer Consultant to oversee cross‑functional teams delivering high voltage substations and related projects. You will guide engineers, designers, estimators, and schedulers, ensuring high quality, on‑time outcomes and adherence to client specifications.

The role involves coordinating with civil, structural, and transmission teams, developing scope changes, and maintaining budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering degree is required.
• 10+ years of design engineering and/or program management for high‑voltage utility projects.
• Experience in EPC, Owners Engineer, Traditional or Joint Venture contract execution.
• Experience liaising with firm/clients in support or management roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proposal writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams of engineers, designers, estimators, and schedulers.
• Coordinate detailed design phases and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and scope changes with clients.
• Mentor and develop team members.
