GFT is seeking experienced Senior Substation Engineers to lead or support utility and power substation projects for clients across the power delivery sector. Candidates should have 8+ years of relevant design and project management experience and hold a PE license.

The role offers potential hybrid or remote work for the right candidate, and involves developing complex substation layouts, calculations, and specifications for 34.5kV to 500kV systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Professional Engineer license required.
8+ years progressive design, engineering and project management in power/utility.

Responsibilities

Develop substation layouts, one-line diagrams, and equipment wiring.
Prepare calculations, reports, and equipment specifications.
Manage technical, financial, and scheduling aspects of substation projects.
May act as project/client/capture manager.
Mentor and lead engineers and technical staff.
Support pursuing regional and national substation projects.
