Job summary

GFT is seeking experienced Substation Engineers (Power) to join our Power Group. Hybrid in multiple cities, with remote option for right candidate.

Responsibilities include leading and supporting utility and power substation projects from 34.5kV to 500kV, building client relationships, and delivering high-quality HV designs. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Electrical Engineering, a PE or path to licensure, and 4+ years in design, engineering and project management within power/utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license or on the path to licensure.
• 4+ years progressive experience in design, engineering and project management within power/utility industry.
• Experience with project management software (MS Project) for scope, schedule, and budget management.
• Design experience in high voltage substation and distribution projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support utility and power substation projects and clients.
• Develop substation layouts, one lines, and system schematics for HV substations.
• Prepare equipment specifications and project calculations for clients.
• Collaborate to pursue power substation projects regionally and nationally to grow GFT’s presence.
• Prepare proposals, bids, reports and presentations.
