Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. You will perform hands-on substation design and studies for utilities and developers, at voltages from 4kV to 500kV, coordinating with civil, P&C, and GIS teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, and CDEGS/WinIGS, and travel up to 25% to client sites; PE or Master's are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in substation projects 4kV–500kV.
• Experience with substation layouts, bus configurations, grounding, and HV/EHV design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS and related software.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver substation packages for transmission and distribution.
• Prepare bidding docs, specifications, BOMs, and shop drawings.
• Lead project estimates, client engagement, and BD activities.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, P&C, telecom and geotechnical teams.
• Act as PM/Proposal Lead to support growth and client goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC of work.
