Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Substation Electrical Engineer to lead our Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. The role encompasses hands-on substation design, studies, and coordination with multi-discipline groups for utility and developer clients.

The candidate will act as PM, proposal and account manager, ensuring project execution, quality, and client satisfaction, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in substation design and studies.
• PE License and proficiency with NEC, IEEE, and national codes.
• Experience in Power Delivery Substation consultancy businesses and renewables.
• Proficiency with SKM, ASPEN, ETAP, CAPE, CDEGS, WinIGS.

Responsibilities

• Lead Substation Electrical team and manage resources and work allocation.
• Coordinate with civil, protection & control, and planning teams to produce complete design packages.
• Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager and Technical Lead.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform quality assurance on designs.
• Engage with clients to support business development and project execution.
