Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. You will lead hands-on substation design and studies for projects ranging from 4kV to 500kV, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and managing client engagement and proposals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years’ substations experience, proficiency in AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, and CDEGS/WinIGS, and a strong focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in substations 4kV–500kV.
• Experience with substation layouts, bus configurations, grounding, and HV/EHV design.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver substation projects from 4kV to 500kV with quality and safety.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and procurement docs.
• Lead project estimates, client engagement, and business development activities.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, P&C, and other engineers to develop complete design packages.
• Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, and Technical Lead for regional growth.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC across deliverables.
