Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. You will lead engineering, design and studies for substations from 4kV to 500kV, collaborating with civil, P&C, telecom and geotechnical teams to deliver complete packages.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of substation experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, and strong client engagement to support project execution and business development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum 8 years of relevant Substation experience 4kV–500kV.
Experience with substation layouts, bus configurations, grounding and HV/EHV design.
Proficient in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS for substation design.
Design experience per NEC, NESC, IEEE standards and local codes.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering, design, studies and delivery of substation projects 4kV–500kV.
Prepare bidding documents, specs, BOMs, shop drawings and procurement docs.
Lead project estimates, proposals, client engagement and business development.
Coordinate with civil/structural/high-voltage P&C engineers to deliver IFC packages.
Act as Project Manager/Proposal Manager/Technical Lead to support growth.
Mentor junior staff and perform QA/QC; engage with clients and vendors.
