Arcadis is seeking a Principal Substation Electrical Engineer to join our Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. You will lead hands‑on substation design, studies, and project management for utility and developer clients, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and supporting business development.
The role requires 12+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and a PE license, with proficiency in SKM/ETAP/CDEGS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- PE License required.
- 12+ years of experience in substation design for AIS/GIS and utility-scale projects.
- Experience in Power Delivery consultancy and renewables business.
Responsibilities
- Lead Substation Electrical team and coordinate resources and QA/QC.
- Deliver utility and developer projects from concept through construction support.
- Coordinate with civil, protection & control, and other engineers to develop IFC design packages.
- Act as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and Technical Lead for PD&R in the region.
- Mentor junior engineers and support business development and client meetings.
- Collaborate with PD&R Leader on client development and execution strategy.
