Job summary

Arcadis, a world leader in sustainable design and engineering, seeks a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. You will lead hands-on substation design, studies, and details for transmission and distribution projects 4kV-500kV, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within Substation projects from 4kV up to 500kV, able to deliver complete substation package.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS, other engineering software for substation design.
• Design experience adhering to NEC, NESC, IEEE codes and standards, and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Engineering, detail design, studies and delivery of substation projects from 4kV to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safety considerations.
• Prepare bidding documents, specifications, BOMs, shop drawings, procurement and construction documents.
• Lead project estimates, engineering estimates, proposals, and client engagement.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, high-voltage P&C electrical, telecoms, geotechnical teams to produce complete construction packages.
• Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager and Technical Lead to support services and growth in the region.
• Mentor junior engineers and review work for QA/QC while engaging with clients, contractors and vendors.
