Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. The role involves hands-on substation design and studies for utility and developer clients, coordinating with multi-discipline teams to deliver complete packages from 4kV to 500kV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within Substation projects from 4kV up to 500kV.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS, other engineering software to complete substation design.
• Design experience adhering to National Electrical Code, National Electric Safety Code, IEEE codes and standards, and local codes.
• PE license and Master’s degree are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and deliver substation projects from 4kV to 500kV with quality and safe design in mind.
• Independently perform engineering and detail design drawings, studies and analysis, prepare bidding documents and specifications, bills of materials, shop drawing review, procurement and construction documents.
• Lead and participate in the preparation of project estimates, engineering estimates and proposals, and client engagement and business development activities.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, high-voltage P&C electrical, telecommunications, geotechnical engineers to develop complete Issue for Construction design packages.
• Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager and Technical Lead to support services and growth for the region.
• Mentor junior team members; conduct QA/QC; participate in client meetings, contractors, and vendors.
