Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join the Power Delivery team in North America. You will lead hands-on substation design, studies, and project execution from 4 kV to 500 kV for utility and developer clients, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and supporting business growth.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, delivering high-quality engineering services, and traveling up to 25% for client sites and meetings across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of experience in substation projects from 4kV to 500kV.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS; familiar with NEC/NESC/IEEE codes.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, and deliver substation projects from 4kV to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safety considerations.
• Prepare bidding documents, specs, BOMs, shop drawings, procurement and construction documents.
• Lead project estimates, client engagement, and business development activities.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, HV P&C, telecoms, and geotechnical teams to deliver complete design packages.
• Serve as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, and Technical Lead to support growth for the region.
