Job summary

Arcadis U.S. Inc. seeks a Principal Substation Electrical Engineer to lead our Substation Electrical group within Power Delivery & Renewables.

You will oversee design, studies, and project management for utility and developer clients across North America, mentoring staff and coordinating with multiple engineering teams. The role requires extensive experience in substation engineering, strong communication, and travel up to 20% to client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 12+ years in substation electrical engineering.
• PE License and experience with AIS/GIS substations and standards.
• Proficiency with SKM/ETAP/CAPE/CDEGS/WinIGS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead Substation Electrical team and coordinate with Power Delivery & Renewables leaders.
• Develop plans, conceptual layouts, and detailed design for utility and developer clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC across projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
