Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Substation Electrical Engineer to lead our Power Delivery & Renewables team in North America. The role combines hands-on design with project management, client liaison, and business development for large utility-scale projects.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with NEC/IEEE standards while delivering high-quality construction packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in substation engineering and design.
• PE License.
• Experience in Power Delivery Substation Electrical consultancy businesses.
• Proficiency with NEC, NESC, IEEE codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Power Delivery & Renewables team and perform hands-on substation electrical engineering, detail design and studies for utility and developer clients in North America.
• Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, Account Manager and Technical Lead for services and growth.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform QA/QC on work of engineers, designers, or technicians.
• Engage with clients, contractors, and vendors to support business development and project execution.
• Collaborate with civil, protection & control, system planning and studies teams to develop complete construction packages.
