Job summary

Arcadis U.S. Inc. is seeking a Principal Substation Electrical Engineer to lead the Substation Electrical team within the Power Delivery & Renewables group in North America.

You will oversee hands-on design, studies, and project management across utility-scale and large industrial projects, coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and client teams. The role requires a PE license, 12+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE License is required.
• Experience with HV and EHV substation engineering & design for AIS and GIS substations in utility-scale, developer, or large industrial facilities required.
• Experience in Power Delivery Substation Electrical consultancy and understanding of power delivery, renewables, generation business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow Substation Electrical team under Power Delivery & Renewables leadership.
• Manage development from conceptual layout to detailed design and construction support.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, protection & control, system planning, SCADA/telecom, water, and geotechnical engineers to deliver complete design packages.
