Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to lead hands-on design and studies for utility and developer clients from 4kV to 500kV. You will coordinate with civil, electrical, and project teams and ensure delivery in line with Arcadis’ safety, QA, and client standards.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 8+ years of substation experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, and CDEGS/WinIGS. Travel up to 25% is expected to support projects across North America.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
8+ years of relevant experience in substation projects 4kV–500kV.
Proficient with AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS for design.
Experience following NEC, NESC, IEEE standards and local codes.
Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering, detail design, studies and delivery of substation packages on transmission and distribution projects.
Prepare bidding docs, specifications, BOMs, shop drawings, and procurement support.
Lead project estimates and client engagement activities to support business development.
Coordinate with civil, structural, high-voltage P&C, telecom and geotechnical teams.
Perform project management and provide technical leadership to the team.
