Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Substation Electrical Engineer to lead the Substation Electrical team within the Power Delivery & Renewables group in North America. The role involves project engineering, proposal management, and technical leadership for utility, developer, and large industrial clients, with up to 20% travel.

The successful candidate will coordinate with civil, structural, protection & control, and planning teams, ensuring compliance with codes and Arcadis policies, while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in substation layouts, configurations, and studies for AIS/GIS.
• PE License is required.
• Proficiency in NEC, NESC, IEEE codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Substation Electrical team and manage resources on large projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design packages and QA/QC of engineering studies.
• Act as Project/Proposal/Program/Account Manager and technical lead.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development with clients.
