Job summary

Saab, Inc. seeks a Senior Subcontracts Manager to lead high-value procurements and negotiate strategic contracts. The role emphasizes FAR/DFARS compliance and effective supplier management within a global supply chain.

The position can be performed remotely or on-site at Saab locations in the U.S., with travel up to 25%. Qualified candidates have a BA/BS with 10+ years (or MBA/MS/JD with 8+ years) and experience in DoD/FAA contracting, advanced purchasing, and ERP-based order creation.

Qualifications

• U.S. Government, DoD, or FAA contracts experience.
• FAR/DFARS contract requirements experience.
• Advanced purchasing with ERP and order building.
• Knowledge of contracting methods and types.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving with good judgment.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government Security Clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements and flow down obligations for compliance and risk.
• Assist engineering in creating Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Issue RFIs and RFQs; manage information flow from subcontractors.
• Perform flow-down analyses to ensure customer requirements alignment.
• Negotiate and manage pricing, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Execute subcontracts, IDCT, NDAs, leasing and long-term agreements; maintain records.
• Support proposal costing for materials and labor; participate in reviews.
• Coordinate with Saab programs across sites and affiliates; travel up to 25%.
