Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Subcontracts Manager to join the Supply Chain team in a senior individual contributor role. You will execute complex procurements with key subcontractors and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements.

This role may be performed remotely or on-site at Saab offices in the United States, with travel up to 25% annually. You will contribute to supplier management, SOW creation, and strategic procurement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 10+ years of experience, or MBA/MS/JD with 8+ years of experience.
• U.S. Government, DoD, or FAA contracts experience.
• Experience navigating FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Advanced purchasing experience and ERP-based order creation.
• Experience with contracting methods and types.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review and flow down mandatory requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk.
• Assist Engineering in creating Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Issue RFIs/RFQs to subcontractors and manage processes for complete information.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements including FAR/DFARS, FAA, and international requirements.
• Negotiate and manage supplier pricing, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Execute subcontracts, IDCT, NDAs, leases, and long-term agreements.
