Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a senior Subcontracts Manager to lead high-value procurements, negotiate agreements, and ensure FAR/DFARS compliance. The role supports multiple Saab programs and can be remote or on-site at a Saab office in the United States.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in DoD/FAA contracting, strong negotiation and ERP experience, and the ability to coordinate with international affiliates. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or advanced degree with 8+–10+ years of experience
• U.S. Government, DoD, or FAA contracts experience.
• Experience navigating FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Advanced purchasing and ERP order-building understanding.
• Experience with contracting methods and types.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance, if required.

Responsibilities

• Review and flow down requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Assist Engineering with creating Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Issue RFIs/RFQs to subcontractors and manage responses.
• Conduct flow-down analyses for customer requirements (FAR/DFARS, FAA, international).
• Negotiate and manage pricing, cost, schedule, and performance with suppliers.
• Execute subcontracts, IDCT agreements, NDAs, leasing and long-term agreements.
• Maintain legal records and supporting documentation per applicable requirements.
• Support proposal costing for materials and labor.
• Coordinate with Saab programs across sites and affiliates as needed.
• Prepare and participate in quarterly business reviews with suppliers.
