The role emphasizes negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management. Remote or on-site work is possible, with travel up to 25% for US and international collaboration.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 10+ years of experience, or MBA/MS/JD with 8+ years of DoD/FAA or government contracts experience.
• Experience navigating and flowing down FAR/DFARS contract requirements.
• Advanced purchasing experience and ERP ordering.
• Experience with contracting methods and types.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and flow down mandatory requirements to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk.
• Assist Engineering in creating Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Issue RFIs/RFQs to subcontractors and manage the process for complete information.
• Conduct flow-down analyses to ensure customer requirements compliance, including FAR/DFARS, FAA, and international requirements.
• Negotiate and manage supplier pricing, cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Execute subcontracts, NDAs, IDCTs, leasing agreements, and long-term agreements.
• Write contract letters and maintain legal records for US Government purchasing systems.
• Support proposal costing for materials and labor.
• Coordinate with Saab programs across sites and affiliates; travel up to 25%.
