Job summary

DSI Tech is expanding its Structured Cabling practice and seeks an experienced architect to lead technical design from customer conversations to implementation handoff. You will survey sites, design copper and fiber solutions, and develop BOMs and SOWs for complex facilities.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in structured cabling, strong MDF/IDF knowledge, and hands-on CAD capabilities. The role is in Ashburn, VA, with a focus on enterprise and data center environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and supporting structured cabling and telecom infra.
• Hands-on knowledge of Cat6/Cat6A, single-mode and multimode fiber.
• Knowledge of MDF/IDF design, telecom rooms, racks, cabinets, grounding/bonding.

Responsibilities

• Participate in customer discovery and on-site surveys with sales and technical teams.
• Design structured cabling solutions and develop accurate BOMs and SOWs.
• Prepare technical documentation and drawings (AutoCAD/Bluebeam/Visio).
• Develop RFIs and clarify technical requirements with customers.
• Handoff designs to delivery teams and support during installation.
