Job summary
DSI Tech in Ashburn, VA is expanding its Structured Cabling practice and seeks an experienced Structured Cabling Solutions Architect to lead the design of copper and fiber cabling solutions from initial client discussions and site surveys to BOM, SOW, and handoff to implementation.
The ideal candidate will perform on-site assessments of MDF/IDF rooms, design cabling topologies (Cat6/Cat6A, single-mode and multimode fiber), develop accurate BOMs and cost inputs, and support sales and delivery
Qualifications
- 7+ years designing structured cabling and telecoms infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Cat6, Cat6A, single-mode and multimode fiber.
- Experience with MDF/IDF design and communications rooms.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical cabling design from customer conversations to BOM and SOW.
- Develop Bills of Materials and technical inputs for estimates.
- Review drawings and documents to identify requirements and risks.
- Present designs to customers and support sales and delivery teams.
- Coordinate handoff to project managers and provide field support as needed.
