Job summary

DSI Tech is seeking a Structured Cabling Solutions Architect to lead the technical design of cabling solutions from the initial customer conversation and on-site survey through BOM, Statement of Work, proposal support, and transition to the delivery team.

This is a customer-facing, in-office role based in Ashburn, VA, requiring on-site site visits and collaboration with sales and engineering to deliver compliant, cost-effective structured cabling designs for data centers, campuses, and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing and supporting structured cabling and telecommunications infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Cat6, Cat6A, fiber, backbone and horizontal cabling.
• Experience conducting onsite surveys and translating field conditions into an implementable design.
• Experience developing Bills of Materials and supporting project cost estimates.
• Knowledge of BICSI methodologies and ANSI/TIA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design of cabling solutions from survey to BOM and SOW.
• Prepare technical documentation and Statements of Work.
• Develop Bills of Materials and supporting project estimates.
• Review drawings and specifications to identify requirements and risks.
• Handoff to delivery team after contract award and provide installation support.
