Job summary

DSI Tech seeks a Structured Cabling Solutions Architect to lead technical design from initial customer conversations and surveys through BOM, SOW, and proposal support. The role requires strong field knowledge and the ability to translate requirements into implementable solutions.

Ideal candidates will have extensive cabling experience (Cat6/Cat6A, fiber), familiarity with MDF/IDF, and proficiency with CAD/Markup tools. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Ashburn, VA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and supporting structured cabling and telecom infra.

• Experience with Cat6/Cat6A and fiber types in enterprise environments.
• Onsite surveys translating field conditions into implementable designs.
• Develop BOMs and cost estimates for projects.
• Knowledge of BICSI/ANSI/TIA standards including data center norms.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Bluebeam/Visio for drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design from customer conversation to BOM and SOW.
• Create Bills of Materials, quantities, and labor assumptions for proposals.
• Prepare drawings and documentation using CAD/Markup tools.
• Present designs to customers and defend recommendations.
• Handoff to delivery team after contract award and support installation.
